Punch Espresso Bar is a haven for coffee aficionados and food lovers alike. You’ll be welcomed by a team of friendly and enthusiastic staff dedicated to delivering not just great service, but also the best cup of coffee in Brisbane.

Speaking of coffee, let’s talk about the magic that brews here. Customers rave about the exceptional quality of their coffee, often noting that it’s comparable to Melbourne’s renowned coffee scene—a hefty compliment that speaks volumes. Take, for example, Jason K’s glowing recommendation: "I literally walk across town from my hotel to come here" because he believes it’s the best coffee in Brisbane. Whether you prefer a rich espresso or a creamy latte, each cup at Punch Espresso Bar promises to elevate your day.

Beyond coffee, the café also offers a menu brimming with fresh food options, including high-quality gluten-free sandwiches on wholemeal bread, which delight those with dietary restrictions. Brett H expresses his loyalty to the café by sharing, "I have drifted around coffee shops over many years... and finally stuck with one," thanks to the consistently great food and friendly service. For a delectable treat, don’t miss their Ham & Cheese Focaccia or a refreshing Berry Smoothie; reviews suggest they are favorites among regulars!

While most dishes receive high praise, there have been some mixed experiences, such as K Ball's note about a savory muffin that was a touch dry. Nonetheless, these instances seem outweighed by the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the cozy atmosphere and friendly service, making it a reassuring choice for anyone seeking a revitalizing break during a busy day.

As a part of your Brisbane exploration, Punch Espresso Bar is not just a café, it’s a vibrant communal spot where each visit feels like catching up with old friends. Whether you’re in need of an early morning pick-me-up or a late afternoon treat, this café embodies the very spirit of Brisbane—welcoming, warm, and full of flavor. Swing by for a cup, and let your taste buds discover why so many have made Punch Espresso Bar a regular stop in their daily routines.

The staff here are excellent. Great service. The coffee is exceptionally good. I literally walk across town from my hotel to come here, because I think it’s the best coffee in Brisbane. They also have high quality wholemeal gluten-free bread for sandwiches , which is great for me. Highly recommend this place.

I have drifted around coffee shops over many years of working in the city and have finally stuck with one. The staff are always really friendly, food is fresh and the coffee is consistently great. Lots of seating, inside and outside. Thanks for making the mornings at work that little bit better!

My go to coffee spot! I recently moved to Brisbane from Melbourne and one thing I missed so much was the Melbourne coffee. I am lucky to be working in the same building this little cafe is in, cuz their coffee is as good as Melbourne. Always served with a smile. The staff is friendly, and food is fresh.

The store is wide and comfortable. Berry Smoothie is not too sweet and fresh, so it's delicious, Egg sandwich is mild. The store is big, but there aren't many seats available. The price range is a bit high.

Brisbane is an expensive city. I get it. My only complaint was that a plain (no sugar, no milk, no nothing) black coffee was more than $6. If my employer didn’t give a daily allowance for food, I’d never have gotten it because that’s pretty steep. With the bad out of the way—I have to say this place is great. Location is fantastic if you’re staying in the area for business and the employees I saw over a couple visits were likewise very kind. I also appreciated how clean and open everything was. There are some other places in town that can’t seem to make a good, simple cup of coffee. Espresso Punch can. If that’s your thing and you’re close by, consider stopping in. They even double-cup so you don’t burn your fingers. The food was freshly made each time I came in—note that it was always early morning, so I can’t speak to how they manage it throughout the day. Ultimately, it was a positive experience or I wouldn’t have visited multiple times. Here’s to hoping they consider dropping prices for drinks with nothing in them.
